[buildingSMART International] Professional Certification Re-branding Notification
Dear Chapter Leads and Professional Certification Community,
I would like to inform you of an important re-branding of the Professional Certification Program.
In an effort to simplify the communication and branding, the buildingSMART International Management Team has decided to remove the term ‘Individual Qualification’ and brand all activities under the single banner of Professional Certification. This work has been done in coordination with the Professional Certification steering committee.
What was previously termed Individual Qualification, will now be termed "Professional Certification – Foundation". In special cases where Chapters have already communicated the term ‘Individual Qualification’ to a broader public, such as in Germany, the term ‘Individual Qualification’, may still be in limited use.
The long planned Phase 2, will now be termed "Professional Certification - Practitioner". The aim of this is to have greater clarity over the different offering.
The existing Professional Certification Logo can continue to be used, however, the Individual Qualification logo should be discarded (it will removed from all the certificates and communication material) and is to be replace by the new Professional Certification - Foundation logo.
